The District holds two Conferences each year. The Fall Conference is usually the 1st
Saturday in November and the Spring Conference is usually the 1st Saturday in May.
Leading up to the Conferences is a series of contests which start at the Club level,
with the winners proceeding up the chain until they compete at the District Conference.
For the International Speech Contest, the winner will compete at the
Regional Conference and if they win there, will compete for the coveted title of
World Champion of Public Speaking at the Toastmasters International Convention.
The spring contests are usually (but not always) the Evaluation Contest and the International
Speech Contest.
The fall contests are usually (but not always) the Table Topics Contest and the Humorous
Speech Contest.
The schedule for the spring contests is usually:
- Club contests are held in February and early March
- Area contests are held in March and early April
- Division Contests are held in April
- District Contests are held at the District Conference
- Regional Conference during June
- International Conference during August
The schedule for the fall contests is usually:
- Club contests are held in August and early September
- Area contests are held in September and early October
- Division Contests are held in October
- District Contests are held at the District conference
