The District 27 Hotline is an effective way our District uses to pass
the names and phone numbers of prospective guests to our clubs. Callers
to the Hotline are asked to leave their contact information, and the District
Hotline Coordinator forwards their information to the Hotline email
group. Members from Clubs near the caller's location should then call
and invite the person to one of their meetings. The Hotline number is
(703) 506-4717.
This is a free service offered to District 27 Toastmasters. Any who wish
to subscribe to the D27-Hotline email group can send an email to the District
Hotline Coordinator. Include your desired email address, full name,
and position in your club. Anyone can subscribe to the email group, but
we would especially like the Vice President Membership from each club
to sign up. If subscribers wish to view the email group through Yahoo!'s
website (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/D27-Hotline),
they will need to set up a free Yahoo! account. This is not required if
subscribers just want to receive emails.
The Hotline voicemail is checked often, usually once a day, and an email
is sent out when calls are received. Generally the Hotline gets at least
one call every couple of days. If you don't receive an email, there were
no calls on that day. Calls are numbered consecutively, starting on January
1st of each year. Occasionally the Hotline Coordinator receives emails
directly from interested people; that information will be forwarded also.
The email sent to the subscribers includes whatever information is received,
including phone numbers and email addresses. Feel free to email the District
Hotline Coordinator with questions.
