Time for club officers to attend training – and we have the info

TLI bannerThere are certain milestones your Toastmasters club must meet to achieve Distinguished Club Program status. One milestone is that at least four club officers must attend officer training during each of the two training periods.

But attending the training is more than a requirement just to get an award. This training provides new and returning officers an opportunity to learn new skills and find new ideas from a team of Distinguished Toastmasters. The training also is a good place to network with members from other clubs.

The first of two District 27 Toastmasters officer training — commonly referred to as the Toastmasters Leadership Institute — begins at 6 p.m. July 12 at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, 451 7th St. S.W., Washington, D.C. Google Map icon

The first session presenters and their topics are:

  • Alonzo White: president and sergeant at arms
  • Vann-Di Galloway: vice president of education
  • Brenda Lawrence: vice president of membership and vice president of public relations
  • Iris Taylor: treasurer/secretary

After a short break, the second session includes Jenny Genser’s talk about building club success.
