Picture this: You are asked to create and lead an inspiring training for your company. Your initial instinct is to recoil and pass the baton to someone more qualified. But you wish you could grab that project, lead your team and inspire your co-workers to action.
From academic presentations to Zoom webinars the number of platforms for speaking has soared and it is important to hone your skills on each platform. The Toastmasters International Pathways program enables you to customize your educational voyage by choosing from the educational paths below:
- Dynamic Leadership
- Effective coaching
- Innovative Planning
- Leadership Development
- Motivational Strategies
- Persuasive Influence
- Presentation Mastery
- Strategic Relationships
- Team Collaboration
- Visionary Communication
Innovative Planning: Focus, Confidence, Lead.
The Innovative Planning path helps you with speech writing and delivery. It focuses on developing a strong connection with audience members when you present. Like the Toastmaster’s legacy program, you’ll begin with the fundamentals: Ice Breaker, Evaluation and Feedback and Researching and Presenting. Whether you are new to Toastmasters or just new to pathways, you know that these three speeches mark the gateway to public speaking excellence.
Once you’ve mastered the basics the next level focuses on building you as a leader. The projects include: Understanding Your Leadership Style, Connect With Your Audience and Introduction to Toastmasters Mentoring.
Levels Three and Four are where you can chart your own course by mastering the skills that support your goals. Gain confidence in your speaking skills by learning how to Use Presentation Software, Connect with Storytelling or Inspire Your Audience.
Strengthen your project management muscles by Creating a Podcast, Building a Social Media Presence, Managing Online Meetings or hosting a Question-and-Answer Session
Put your High Performance Leadership project to work for you as you showcase your expertise by Moderating a Panel, or Leading in your Volunteer Organization or Prepare to speak Professionally.
While a few projects on this path may be familiar to veteran Toastmasters, there new competencies designed to stretch and strengthen you. With Toastmaster’s Pathways Innovative Planning in your skill base you can say “yes” to that project because you’ll be equipped both to lead and to inspire.
