Please note that any member in good standing, including current members of the district executive committee, may still run for an office as a Floor Candidate. Floor candidates have the same opportunities and responsibilities as nominated candidates to run for any district officer position. Anyone who wishes to run as a Floor Candidate must:
1) Sign the Toastmasters International Officer Agreement and Release Statement.
2) Submit a completed Candidate Nomination Form.
3) Formally enter their name into nomination at the District Council Business Meeting on May 5th 2018.

Call for Leadership Nomination and Candidate Declarations (Old, Archival Purposes)
District 27 is hereby requesting nominations for District Leaders to serve for the 2018 – 2019 Toastmasters year.
Are you interested in nominating yourself or another member for a district leader position? To be nominated, elected and hold office, a member must meet the following requirements:
- Be a member in good standing of a District 27 Toastmasters club in good standing
- Meet the qualifications of the position – Click here
- Consent to being nominated and sign the Officer Agreement and Release Statement.
Deadline for candidates to declare their intent to run and be considered for nomination by the District Leadership Committee (DLC) must submit the following forms to DLC Chairperson no later than March 7, 2018.

District Candidates can begin campaigning once nomination forms are received by the DLC Chairperson. The Candidate is responsible for following all rules and regulations regarding campaign communications and practices.
The DLC will interview all candidates on March 10, 2018 at the Fairlington Recreation Center between 10:00am – 4:00pm. More details to follow once you apply. If you cannot make it to the interview for valid reasons, the DLC will make accommodations for a phone interview. Announcement of the DLC nominations will be made district-wide within one week after the conclusion of candidate interviews.
The following District Positions will be determined by election to be conducted during the Spring Conference Business Meeting in May 2018 (Date: 5th May tentatively).
