Motivate, Educate, and Energize Teams – MEET – achieve success by providing pathways for the envisioned future
My team and I are excited to work, among friends, to help you achieve sustained success as Toastmasters. As Toastmasters, we learn from the past and pave the way to the future based on our reflections from these experiences.
My vision as District 27 Director is to Motivate, Educate and Energize Teams (MEET) to achieve success by providing a pathway for the envisioned future. To me, MEET means the following:
- Motivate – District Leadership Team will successfully support the District’s Mission
- Educate – Training to the District Leadership Team (Program Quality Director)
- Energize – Leaders and members to get all they can get from the Toastmasters experience (Club Growth Director and Public Relations Officer)
- Teams – “It’s all about TEAMS! Interdependent people combine their own efforts with the efforts of others to achieve their greatest success.” – Stephen Covey.
I believe in results-oriented leadership experience. During my career as a Toastmaster, I obtained insight from leaders I admire — people who helped provide me with perspective in building these leadership skills. Most recently, I completed a term as District 27 Program Quality Director (2016-17). While in this role, and in other Toastmasters offices, I’ve gained a wealth of insight into applying these leadership ideas.
But at the end of the day, I aspire to empower a diverse, dynamic and experienced leadership team in support of District 27’a mission: “We build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence.” Members and their experiences are the lifeblood of the District.
My aspiration is that you will achieve your endeavors as Toastmasters whatever path your leadership journey takes you.
