District conference a time to come together

Announcing the District 27 Fall Conference on 10 and 11 November 2017. Here is the AGENDA.
To register for the conference go to Eventbrite

District General Council Meeting

We are a little over a month from our District General Council Meeting, November 11, 2017 from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Centric Hotel, 1325 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22209.

In order to conduct essential District Business, it is CRITICAL that we have a quorum of delegates attend the District Council Business Meeting. Each Club’s President and VPE are voting members of the District Council along with elected and/or appointed members of the District Executive Committee.

We invite all Club Presidents and VPE’s to register for the conference at Eventbrite and to indicate which Club you will represent.

If either the Club President or Club VPE attends the conference, he or she can pick up the delegate’s package for the Club’s two votes at the Credentials Desk.

If neither the Club President or Club VPE plans to attend, please assign your club’s two votes to an active member of your club who is attending by using this proxy form: Proxy Form.ashx

Ensure your Club’s votes will be cast and ensure we will have a quorum to conduct District business by either registering to attend the D27 Fall Conference and District Council Business Meeting or by assigning a proxy for your club’s two votes using the attached proxy form.

A copy of the Agenda for the District 27 District Council Business Meeting will be provided to you as well as the conference agenda and schedule.  If you have any questions, please contact me using the information in the signature block below.

Please Note:  The Credentials Desk will close one hour prior to the scheduled start time of the Fall District 27 General Council Meeting.  Once the Credentials Desk has closed, no proxies will be accepted and no credentials will be issued.

Yours in Toastmasters,

 Mary A. Williams, ACB, ALS
Credentials Chair
