UPDATE: Check your club’s training statistics for this new year. Remember, TLI attendance by club leaders helps you become a Distinguished Club.
For TLI dates for 2017-2018 be sure to bookmark our Leadership Training Schedule.
District 27 offers Toastmasters Leadership Institute — also called TLI — to club officers twice a year. The first is between June 1 and Aug. 31 when officers begin their terms. The second training is between Dec. 1 and Feb. 28 (or 29). Clubs that have at least four officers attend training during each of these training periods receive credit toward the training goal in the Distinguished Club Program.
We know that attending training for many club officers is a challenge when you take into account club duties, job, family, friends, hobbies — all those things that fill our daily lives. That is why District 27 is dedicated to several quality training days at various locations so you are able to schedule according to your flexibility.
Training is free although some host clubs will ask for a small donation to cover costs, such as food for attendees.
If you are not a club leader, that’s okay. Attending a Toastmasters Leadership Institute session will help you understand the various roles and responsibilities. Armed with that knowledge, you could make a better decision about which roles you would want to fill in the future.
If your club wants to host TLI or if you would like to be involved in training, email Brenda Lawrence, Program Quality Director.
